Hello! Thanks so much for checking out Pictures With Polly. I'm Polly Dierkens, a Hudson, Ohio-based portrait and event photographer who has been Immersed in journalism for over 30 years now. I'm married to my college sweetheart, Jake, and the mom of Audrey (22) and Jack (19). My kids are studying studio art and nursing, respectively, at Ohio University and Kent State. I also have three fur babies -- Charlotte (a rescued pitt/Lab mix); Hopper, a big bad tabby cat, and Bitty, a little black kitty who is skittish but so very sweet.

I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and have taught the subject -- as a part of my yearbook, newspaper and graphic design curriculum -- for 24 years at Streetsboro High School. Most of my spare moments are spent indulging in photography -- researching, practicing, editing, teaching and appreciating! 

My niche is senior and family portraits, though I also do enjoy and shoot special events: weddings, maternity, newborns, pets and sports. I prefer to be outside, shooting on location, and traveling to the beautiful towns, landmarks and parks throughout northeastern Ohio. I do have access to studio space, though, if preferences an weather steer us in that direction.

I love the beach AND snow, hiking, pizza, swimming, reading, yoga and traveling!
